Avengers: Infinity War Movie Review (no spoilers)

Avengers: Infinity War is out. It’s finally out. After all these years. I’m not sure if it can be said anyone is actually excited for this movie or if we’re all just ready to see what happens and get it over with. Kind of like ripping the band-aid off, perhaps.

Anyway, I’ve seen it. I saw it a couple of days ago. In this review I swear I will not give away spoilers, as I know that is rude and mean. The movie stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and about three dozen other people. It is rated PG-13 and the movie is a superhero movie. The Avengers must defeat Thanos.

And since this is just the first part (second part next spring) they must not do THAT good of a job.

I’m sure you’ve already seen lots of people saying they don’t know how they feel after watching this movie. I can say that feeling is very real. I saw it I’m just kind of empty, sad, and confused. The ending was…….I don’t know a good way to put it.

They manged to make all the characters work without making the viewer feel as if they were drowning in characters. So kudos, that couldn’t have been easy. I was actually surprised how they did some of the character settings. Not what I expected. You may be surprised too.

I never cried in the movie. But a couple of times I kind of wanted to really badly. One time I really wanted to get sick. No reason, other than stress.

There are deaths. That wasn’t a lie. But we all really knew that was going to happen. No spoilers, just be prepared.

All in all Thanos was an odd character. Can’t decide if he was well-developed or not. I still believe that they should have built him up more over the years. This movie just feels a bit out of place in the universe.

I’m definitely curious to see what the next movie has to give us. I hope they sum it up well. This movie was good. But not great. Can’t say it really disappointed me, but perhaps I’ll feel differently after the 4th one.

Go see this movie. You definitely need to, especially if you’ve spent a decade or nearly a decade, like me, watching these movies.

Note: If you bring a baby to a movie you probably suck. Now if you bring a baby to a movie to a highly anticipated movie ON opening weekend and then proceed to let said baby cry throughout the whole movie you REALLY suck and don’t be surprised if someone smacks you. Because you sweetie are a selfish human being.
