Top 5 Kinds of Candy

I think it’s safe to say that everyone likes candy. Something about that stuff is addictive. Now I am not a huge candy eater anymore. I’ve just gotten sick one too many times from the weakened immune system it gives; also, I’ve found it makes me gain weight.

Of course this is not to say that I don’t eat the crap now and then. In fact, I LOVE to splurge every so often. Since it is Halloween in a few days I thought it appropriate to tell everyone my favorite candies.

So in the order of my favorites:

  1. Skittles: I have loved these things since before I ever tried them. Always thought they were pretty. Delicious too!
  2. Twix: the combination of cookie and caramel is amazing. I’m not sure what it is that makes these things taste so good, but I’m hooked.
  3. Reeses: Peanut Butter and chocolate! YUM!!!! I can taste them by just thinking about it.
  4. Snickers: these things are like heaven. That peanut component of the caramel and nougat? Perfection!!
  5. Candy Canes: I love the peppermint flavor and the fact I feel more refreshed after eating one of these then I usually do with candy.

There of course are other candies that I like, but it would be difficult to say that they are my favorite. I mostly just went off on the fact that in a bowl of candy these would be the kinds I’d grab first.

What are your favorite candy? Why?

  1. This list is very close to my top 5. I always forget how much I love a twix until I have one again! I’m not a candy cane fan though, I’d have to swap those for jelly babies!

      • Ooh it’s tricky to describe a jelly baby. It’s not like haribo gummies, it’s much softer and less chewy. Not really like a jelly bean either. They have a slightly crisp outer which is dusted with powder to stop them becoming sticky. And the inside is like soft jelly but quite juicy rather than chewy. You must try them, they’re better than I’m describing!
